Why This Band Is Unique: This three piece group has at least one side project to each member, but still manages to get together to release, on average, at least one disc a year.

Who Would Like This Album: Fans willing to trade in the cleaned up album for a killer live show.

Recommended Song: "Vices and Virtues"
Within the past year, popular music has unquestionably become much harder. Like Speakerboxx knocking The Love Below off the charts just a few years ago, the replacement of indie pop with a swing back to the hard rock that boomed in the nineties can be reflected all the way from MTV countdowns to Myspace charts. In their follow-up to last year’s, “Day In, Day Out,” Red Tuesday proves they’re not just a one-trick pony and can adapt to all things popular on their newest release, “And From Here On Out.”

This 10 track record starts out with what is the standout of the album, “Vices and Virtues.” At times, the song is reminiscent of, “Day In, Day Out,” but then again, so is the rest of the album. In fact, the song works so well as a lead off because it’s such a good synopsis of what the rest of the album is about. The entire disc could just be old Red Tuesday work remixed and it would not be surprising; it’s the same sound just not so soft and poppy. Even the acoustic track, “Different Rooms,” is similar to previous songs by the band, but this time by the end of the song, the soft, flirty sound of the woodwinds is not nearly as emphasized as it once was in the acoustic Red Tuesday tracks. All in all, the album is a series of songs that are tough to really pay attention to when listening, but easy to get lost in. However, there is still a sneaking suspicion that this album would make for a much more enjoyable live performance than any other work Red Tuesday has done in the past, but still definitely worth owning.
